videos online

Hi group – wondering if you all could offer opinions on best way these days to offer 1-2 hour long video files online for as many platforms as possible.   Is embedded YouTube (or Vemio) a good way to do it?  Some other way?  They will be on a protected site – not available to the public.  I have not worked on video projects in quite a while – since when I used to use Squeeze to crunch swfs/flvs :o)
