May 24, 2012 Dear Azerbaijani- and Turkic-Americans, As a result of ASA-AAC Pax Turcica annual action campaign on the 94th anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the Governor of the New York State, Andrew M. Cuomo, issued a formal greeting statement to the people of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani community in New York State. This recognition by the New York Governor was received by and due to the efforts of ASA External Relations Director Mr. Emin Hasanov, to be presented at the National Day celebration by Azerbaijan Society of America in New York on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Few days ago, Governor of Rhode Island recognized Azerbaijani National Day in a formal greeting proclamation.
