Azerbaijani-American Council (AAC) is proud to announce that a San Francisco-based Azeri FC Men's Over 40 soccer team became a winner of the 2012 Annual "Soccer in Sun" King Cup tournament held in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 14-16, 2012. This year, AAC sponsored the Azeri FC participation in the tournament, where 164 football teams from the U.S., Canada and the U.K. compete for titles in various categories.
Azeri FC soccer team was established nearly a decade ago by a group of Azerbaijani-Americans in San Francisco Bay area. The club is led by a professional footballer and the member of AAC Board of Directors, Samir Lutvaliyev. Azeri FC had also won the King Cup tournament in 2008.
