Hello members, I hope someone can help me with this, I have Sony KD49XD8077SU 4K HDR Android TV, I want to be able to use voice search on Netflix app or from the home screen but it does not work, when I search from home screen it only gives me results from youtube and google play movies, from the Netflix app the voice search does not work at all
I manged to sort the google voice search out on my android tv, I can now get Netflix results when I voice search from the home screen, it might sound weird but all I did was installing google app and when I voice searched asked me which app I want to use then I picked google search app and selected always, now when I search for movies and tv shows using voice search I get results from Netflix and save me time typing in Netflix app
Thanks Peter_S for your reply, I can't use voice search in Netflix using remote control as there is no option within Netflix app, and when I am at home screen and voice search for tv shows or movies I only get results in youtube, google play movies, no Netflix voice search results.
None of the search fields are working on my Netflix app. When i try to enter any characters in the search field i'll get a buffering wheel for less than half of a second and no movies will appear on the right side of the screen. I'm currently signed into Netflix, Apple tv's been up to date for sometime & i'm connected via wifi. Any suggestions?
I did speak with netflix about this issue. They did try and troubleshoot from their end but came to the conclusion that it was an issue on Apple's end. I called Apple Care and they directed me to go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. This did fix the issue and i am able to search again. Anyone doing this will need to be aware that you will need to sign back into all apps. If you're connected via wifi you'll also need to reconnect this as well so have your router password handy.
Last week I ran an ACC report for the top 25 applications. Netflix was #3 (university environment, so it's to be expected). Today, I ran the same report and Netflix (as an application) is no where to be found. I launched Netflix on my computer to generate some traffic and I'm not seeing it (I waited 20 minutes to make sure the session was ended and logged). I've tried searching, but I don't see any modifications to the application. Any reason this isn't showing up any more?
I have noticed quite a few incidences where netflix has been identified as web-browsing. Please make sure you are on the latest content version (463 being latest today) and test again as I see some improvements being reported. You may open a support case to follow the updates from bug 68271.
In your case, could you please update the firmware of your Capsule II to the latest V9.5.16 through settings>device preferences>about>system update and see if you could control Netflix well via mouse mode on Nebula Connect app?
Continually press up and down on the nebula remote to keep the interface from disappearing. (Pressing left or right will skip forward or back and remove the interface. Idling for a few seconds will remove the interface as well and force me to repeat from step 1 again)
On the nebula connect app, use mouse mode to move the mouse to desired function, for example, subtitles. (All the while pressing up and down on the nebula remote to keep the interface from disappearing)
So I can now access all functionality, however it requires the use of two devices and complex movements to reach desired outcome. This is a very positive step in the right direction, but I am still working with customer support on how to get this the rest of the way to full functionality. If left and right prompted left and right, rather than skip forward or backward, it seems it would be perfect!
What I did was download a mouse toggle for android tv:
use Downloader, search on MATVT ( )
Set boss key to 4 (long press back button remote to enable mouse mode)
Under apps, special app access, display over other apps, allow MATVT
Under device preferences, accessibility, enable mouse toggle service.
