If you are trying to stop someone from making a mistake and you use thesepowers to stop them, you are helping them. The part I think people are concerned with is the fact that Vashikarandisconnects the subjugated person from exercising their own free will. It's this fact that makes these mantras darkor "black". But in reality, they can be used for "good" as well.
