Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about using an ad-blocker but I’m not sure which one to choose. Does anyone here have experience with different solutions? How do you balance blocking ads without breaking websites? Also, do ad-blockers slow down your browser or use a lot of memory? And finally, is it really worth it, or do some ads just have to be tolerated?

The best ad-blocker for most people is uBlock Origin because it’s fast, lightweight, and blocks most ads without slowing your browser.
Ad-blockers usually make websites load faster, but occasionally you may need to disable them on sites that break.
Overall, using one is worth it, especially if you whitelist websites you want to support.

I was always using the Internet like I want.  I was skeptical about ad blockers at first, but best ad blocker ever surprised me. It cleaned up websites a lot, especially news pages. I didn’t realize how many trackers were running before. My laptop even feels a bit faster now. I still allow ads on a few sites I enjoy. It feels like a fair balance to me.
