The Makara Vilakku Pooja also known as Makara Sankaranti is one of the most significant prayer offering to Lord Ayyappa and it has always been a significant day for the Ayyappa Devotees. To conclude the Makara Vilakku Pooja, Every year, Millions of Devotees from all parts of the world converge upon Sabarimala, Kerala, the abode of Lord Ayyappa. They gather together without paying any heed to cast creed and race.
In Nairobi, Kenya, Sri Ayyappa Seva Samaj has been conducting Poojas and other ceremonies since 1989. This years' Makaravilakku Pooja and other Ceremonies will be conducted on the Makara Vilakku Day , On Tuesday, 14th January 2014 at Sri Ayyappa Temple, Nairobi as per the Programme below.
All devotees are invited to participate in large numbers and get the blessings of Lord Ayyappa. For any offerings to Lord, sponsorships or donations please contact the priest or any of the committee members.
