Dear Friend,

India needs 0.2 million doctors to provide healthcare services that can be comparable to the world’s average.. The existing doctors are finding it difficult to place themselves in Indian healthcare Industry. On the other hand, NRI doctors are returning back with their years of experience to establish their own setup and to work for corporate hospitals, creating a huge competition among the doctors in the market especially in metros.

In Karnataka, almost 50% of the fresh graduates join to the pool of MBBS graduates to compete for higher education, out of which 20% ( which is gradually increasing ) to aspire for other career options but are left behind due of lack of information. The same can be expected in other clinical field.

It is important for doctors to understand the career streams alternative to clinical streams that are based on their bachelor’s qualification. Doctors can look into the following career streams

1. Hospital Administration
2. Business Stream- Entrepreneur
3. Healthcare IT
4. Health Insurance

Though the target audiences for this seminar are doctors, all allied professionals are also invited to understand the careers in Healthcare Industry, its growth in the near future

-MBBS Students and Internees
