    Article: Neglect of health

This 'Sthula' body containing Annamaya Kosha is a wonderful gift of God. It is a Combination of system, art and science. However, due to social pressures, mental extremism and indulgence in excesses we appear to spoil it.

    The measures adopted by us to gauge our success in life are quite defective. We become absolutely illogical while employing the mechanism of this beautiful body to work. We keep on neglecting the rules that are adevised to maintain and develop the body. Consequently we make our own life hellish and then we repent as has been said by a poet;

'Phool chunane aye the baghe hayat men, Kanton men apna daaman uljha ke rah gaye'

(I had come to garden to pick up beautiful flowers but I entangled myself with thorns).

Without going into details it should be understood by us clearly that the root cause of all diseases lies in imbalanced diet, irregular life style/routine and our irrational thinking. In the mechanism of body one process is connected with another and each system is co-related with other systems. It we disturb some process or system, others also get affected. From the view point of health, it will be more appropriate to treat body as a single unit though it is comprised of several units.

GHANA SATWA - Concentrated Aquious Herbal Extracts

The plant kingdom has always been the favorite source of medication in all-healing traditions all over the world. Ayurveda also makes use of various herbs in its different formulations suggested in its classical texts.

As we all know that the Panchavidha kashaya kalpana. i.e. swarasa, kalka, heema. Phanta, kashaya (kwatha) are the basic 5 ideas on which the branch of 'Bhaishajya Kalpana' absolutely depends upon. All the future developments in this branch are further proliferations of the Panchavidha kashaya kalpana.

These basic five ideas have their own limitations. For example, the Swarasor juice of a herb has a very limited shelf life and it is very difficult to obtain fresh herbs every time and every place. The kalka, kashaya (kwatha) also are mostly un-palatable and their doses are high.

To overcome these disadvantages certain developments were tried & the most effective idea to tackle these disadvantages can be sought in the concept of Rasakriya.
There are many advantages in using GhanaSatwa like:

    • Higher concentration
    • Lower Dosage
    • Subtle in nature. So goes to subtle target tissues.
    • Longer Shelf life.
    • Better Bio availability

In the News: Yogurt may Play Important Role in Diabetes Management

    Scientists Report.....
Scientists at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst screened extracts from a sampling of dairy and soy yogurts for in vitro biological activity, such as the activity level of enzymes that help moderate blood glucose levels. The researchers found that fruit-enriched yogurt extracts ,especially those made with blueberries or made from soy, possessed biological activity that may provide a benefit associated with diabetes.
The report appeared in the Journal of Food Biochemistry (December 2006).
