Dear Toya,
First, I want to personally congratulate you on completing the Regional Referee course and passing your certification exam. Well done! By the way, wasn't this a refresher for you? I thought you'd completed the training last fall as well. The season starts this weekend and it would be wonderful to have you out on the field. I have (re)created an account for you in Arbiter (
www.arbitersports.com) so that you will be able to sign up to officiate games. In your case, Arbiter says that you have to accept the invitation to be part of the R64 grouping before I can activate you. But I also need you to do something else.
Before I can activate your account, you need to complete Safe Haven training online. AYSO requires that all volunteers take Safe Haven so they can be covered by AYSO liability insurance. It is a short course, most people complete it in about 45 minutes. You can find it at
www.aysotraining.org. You'll need your eAYSO !D number to access the site.
Once you have completed Safe Haven, please let me know with an email to
R...@ayso64.org so I can activate your Arbiter account and you can start refereeing.
Again, thank you for your time and energy. Volunteers make the world go round, and are certainly the heart of AYSO. In addition, I'm sure you'll really enjoy refereeing once you get started. Please contact me with any questions or issues.
I look forward to refereeing with you,
Kristina
