Fundraising?

If your program is like ours, you have expenses above and beyond the
ones factored into the registration fees. What kinds of fundraisers
does your Region use to bring in more money for your program? Which
ones have been sucessful for you, and which ones weren't? (let's not
name the names of companies if the fundraiser was a bust)

I've seen larger cities use coupon books or cards offering discounts
from various businesses (such as restaurants), but my Region is in a
smaller, rural area. We tried one of these several years back, but
unfortunately it didn't work very well for us. We usually have good
luck with Krispy-Kreme doughnut fundraisers.

Right now our Middle School Soccer team is in the middle of a
candle-selling fundraiser using an Athens, TN company that was started
by a stay-at-home Mom. If it goes well (and I think it will) we can
raise some money for the team as well as support a local business.
