Uniforms

I was talking to another mom a few days ago and we were trying to
remember what color uniforms the different regions wear.

Here in R1277, our kids wear maroon (away games) and teal (home games).
What are your Region's colors?

In R325 (Loudon County), we have orange and green. The intent was for
green to be for home games and orange to be for away games. What we've
found is that the girls teams prefer to wear orange and boys green.
Our coaches are instructed to call the opposing coach each week and one
of the thing to be discussed is uniform color so there shouldn't be a
conflict.

Calling before the game is an excellent idea!

My son plays on our local Middle School team in the Spring and AYSO in
the fall. Our Middle school has only one uniform - jerseys with a
maroon body and white sleeves that have a black design on them. They
wear black shorts and maroon socks.

Last year an opposing team showed for a game up wearing... jerseys with
a maroon body and white sleeves with a black design on them, black
shorts and maroon socks! (I told the ref we had pre-arranged that just
to keep his job interesting).

Fortunately one of the coaches had scrimmage vests.

Our new Region - R1519 - has chosen black and red uniforms. They're
really sharp looking, too! We think the kids will like them.
