MUSIC ON THE CLYDE

I have a small Ships piano which was made in Paris in approx 1870. It
has an interesting history, having come off one of the old Clyde
Steamers operating up and down the Ayrshire coast at the turn of the
century.
I wondered if anyone in the group might know of an interested person/
group/museum who would want to give it a good home.
I think of all the thousands of Ayrshire lasses and laddies who must
have gathered around this old piano, the singalongs. It seems a
shame to chop up something which brought so much pleasure. Any
suggestions ?

and has good support who may be interested.

Hi Alex - I would be really VERY interested --- I am not a wealthy person though.
 
I was keyboard player for Lonnie Donegan in the 70's so very appropriate considering the history!!!
 
Was educated and thrown out of Royal College of Music (Rolling Stones song book falling out of Beethoven Sonata book did NOT go down well!)
 
I was also a musician on the Canberra - don't know if you remember the documentary done by Robert Robinson in the 80's about the Canberra cruise liner - I was featured in that....... afterwards, P & O had lots of cancellations!!!
 
My family were New Cumnock, Newmilnes, Galston.
