Warm Greetings to you!!!
I appreciate you from writing about Capt Willam Greig, a king of
Fanning Island. In your aritcle 2, you mentioned that the family
settled in New Zealand, that's true. Also you said that Willam sold
his company and his properties to the Bristish Goverment, I did not
know that, but all I knew is that the Kiribati's Goverment took
Fanning Island without the family's permission.
William Greig had a youngest son named Hugh Greig, He's the only one
who had the authority from his father, to care his father's properties
including the Fanning island.
Hugh married with a Cook islander named Akamra, had only two
daughters, the elderest daughter named Anne, and the other called
Jane. Anne and her family still in Kiribati but Jane and her family
settled in New Zealand but the first fruit of Jane stayed in Kiribati,
her child named Elizabeth. Anne and Jane are still alive. Hugh and his
wife besides Willam's grave at Fanning.
My point of writing this to you, could you please send me more the
details about Willam Greig's family and lastly could answer my
question please, Do you know what did happen to the Greig's Family
those who were live in Kiribati?
Please reply me soon as possible, thank you very much for your
working
