ongoing discussion on gun control

If an off duty cop managed to prevent crime with the use of her or his gun - then let me add here what I was going to write. I did not because I was mystified as to why my messages were not appearing on this page. So I stopped to check and then today Gautam has mentioned that my messages are not appearing.

If this off duty cop story is a good example - then ALL citizens should be trained with considerable degree of expertise to use a gun and should always be armed with a gun in the belt ready to be used in an emergency of any nature that requires a gun to control the situation.

Because otherwise the ownership of a gun becomes pointless. All gun owners should sleep with a gun under their pillow ready for use for the intruder in their home - and all gun owners should have the gun in their belt ready to be use with instant speed against a lunatic with multiple guns in the street or cinema hall or any and all public spaces.

About the lady in the village - you did not specify when she uses the gun? is she targeting the parents guilty of female feoticide and female infanticide ? is she present in the clinics who are facilitating this criminal activity ? Is she present when a girl child is being ill treated ?

If she is armed with a gun is she preventing or protecting rape which in my view also includes marital rape ?

I find the premise of this discussion to be so deeply flawed and I don't understand why a man of your intellect is supporting it? And who is filtering my messages ?

Why has this man in USA printed an article in Forbes magazine against which I have raised my objections on this group page?

If Ayn Rand's name is going to be misused in this way it will be tragic for her. This was the ONE MAIN BATTLE she fought her entire life - she did not ever want anyone to use her name or her philosophy to promote their personal beliefs. If people in USA want to use and own guns - then let them!!! Why has Ayn Rand's name and philosophy been dragged into this discussion?

Please ensure my messages are not eliminated from this group page because I am the one who has the opposite view to you and any other person on this group page.
