BOAR Meeting(Board of Architectural Review) 5/27 @ 5pm for property
located at 135 Clay Avenue. More changes appear in store for this
property. The building keeps taking up more and more of this lot &
soon it will be nothing but an apartment building. According to PVA
it could house 4-19 units. The H1 overlay is to protect our
neighborhood. Any person interested in participating at the hearing
should be prepared to discuss their position as to the request for
another addition to this structure. If you are not able to attend the
meeting to express your concerns, you may submit them in writing to
the Historic Preservation office attention Bettie L. Kerr. The Case
No. is 04150135. The Central Avenue Corridor is used for carriage
rides in the summer for guests to our city let's keep it the way that
it is. It appears in an effort to minimize opposition this
application has been given expedited review. As of May 14th no plans
were available as to the intentions of the property owner and an
application for review was not requested until at least May 12th after
building had already begun. This should not be up for review until
June 10th .according to the published BOAR guidelines but it is
currently set for 5/27. I will post if the May date gets changed.
