SpringFest Woodlan Triangle

As a member of the Woodland Triangle Shops Merchants we would like to invite the neighborhood to offer any help or ideas for our SpringFest April 17th-19th .

We will celebrate Earth Day.There will be celebrations around the nation the weekend of 17th-19 ( see more info on the internet Green Apple Festival and Earth Day Network)

 

We have the following Events planned:

 

Reid from the Void is sponsoring a Skate competition 4/19 and there will be a concert in the park with WRFL (Reid had more details on this

 

Sidewalk Sales

 

Environmental activities

 

Jane from Mapgpies will talk to Michlers,

I am trying to contact Jim Embry ( a local environmental activist about doing some ttype of workshops)

and I have contcted Green Thumb, U.K. environemental Club about event ideas they had a meeting last night. I suggested a Park Clean up

 

Kathy will talk to Schellers

 

I will communicate with the Alyseford Association

 

Heidi will do something at Natural Awakenings she is contacting her therapists (Her place was bustling for the Christmas Open House)

 

We need other ideas or activities in this area please

 

Magpie will have a Destashing Swap  (Yarn trading )

 

I have asked Heidi to  work on press release So we need info from merchants ASAP on what they plan to do to celebrate

 

Karrie from Kolors is calling KU about a temporary banner and the possibility of having Woodland Triangle Shops Flags/banners hung from their poles

 

We need to get a poster made. Heidi's sister in law is a graphic artist or would everybody prefer Cricket Press to do the poster? Please get back on this.

 

We need feedback form the other merchants if they are wanting to participate. Branding the neighborhood as a local shopping destination  will be a benefit to us all.
