Two more weeks for the one and only recognized African Diaspora Awards in Germany to take place. As in previous years, the opportunity to acknowledge African Diasporas positive contribution to their communities has no limit. Scheduled to take place on 1st December 2012, the event will be held at the Grand Kameha Hotel in Bonn, Am Bonner Bogen 1 53227 Bonn, Germany.

The days of Africa’s image being synonymous for negativity, lack of development and leadership skills is long gone. We refused to sit back and watch this negativity progress to unbearable heights. We deemed it our responsibility to portray the positive part of Africa too. It is in this vein, that the African Youth Foundation took it upon itself, to remind all and sundry, that this wonderful continent and its citizens are not only retrogressers, but progresses’. The response is the one and only African Awards: ADLER Entrepreneurship awards, which acknowledges Africans contributing positively to their communities and also serving as a motivation for other Africans, who will endeavour to find innovative ways, to effectively harness and leverage the immense but largely untapped and under-utilised Diasporan resources; to implement leadership/capacity building initiatives in both Africa and Europe.
Who should attend?
The ADLER event is open to all Africans and friends of Africa who are interested in the development of Africa, especially "Diasporan Africans", Entrepreneurs & Business People, African Professionals, organisations with interests in Africa and International Development Organisations.
