Dear all,
This is a formal registration of dissatisfaction with the Nigerian Embassy in Berlin in relation to the President's visit to Germany. The Embassy staff have displayed their incompetent administrative blunder and divide and rule tactics.
We hope that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will read this petition letter written by the Nigerian Elders in Germany, as an evidence of the role and campaign of the Concerned Nigerians over the years.
Please, see below the letter sent to the President's attention.
We would also like to use this opportunity to invite interested Nigerians to Kassel on the 1st of May 2012 to discuss the role of Nigerian Embasy in Germany.

The Nigerian Head of State President Goodluck Jonathan visits Germany. No
arrangements made by the Nigerian Embassy for Nigerians to accord him a
rousing welcome
As President Jonathan begins his State visit on 18th – 20th April, a rude shock has hit
Nigerians in Germany as it has come to dawn on them that there was no plan or
arrangements made by the Nigerian Embassy to include (invite a good representative
numbers of Nigerians) a reception for GEJ with Nigerians to allow interaction with the
President in his schedule. Every attempt made by Nigerian Elders in Germany,
leaders of the Nigerian Committee in Germany, leaders of Nigerians in Diaspora
Germany or officials of Concerned Nigerians Germany, who have frowned seriously
at this act, to seek explanation for this unbecoming inept attitude or to remind the
Chancery of their duty and obligation to Nigerians was to no avail.
Rather the Chancery went ahead to invite the Chairman and Secretary of the
Nigerian Community, President and Gen. Secretary of NIDO Germany and one or
two selected persons to a “diplomatic reception” for Mr. President. It is on record that
everywhere Nigerian Heads of State have visited, the Missions have always done
their job well to bring the Nigerian Community in Diaspora to interact with their
Presidents, whether Military or democratically elected Head of State. Why must it be
different this time? Nigerians in Diaspora in Germany would have had the chance to
demonstrate their full support for the Federal Government and the Transformation
Program of the President to guarantee good governance, industrialize the country,
provide infrastructure and make life better for millions of Nigerians. Nigerians in
Diaspora in Germany would have liked to let Mr. President know that they fully
support all his focused at getting rid of the menace of Boko Haram and to make the
way to reunite the people of the two different religions.
We can surely imagine that the President’s visit was not planned just over night. So
there was enough time for the Nigerian Chancery to react. What has happened is
slight on Nigerians here in Germany, numbering almost 100,000, a slap in the face
and a disregard for the President. The Embassy has broken with the tradition of all
times.
In the face of the exclusion policy of the Embassy and the anger generated the
Nigerian Elders in Germany have advised all Nigerians to remain calm during the
President’s visit and never to do anything explosive to cause him embarrassment.
