Well I’m sorry to have to report that boats 1+2 were still hemmed in with
debris, so we didn’t even try and use them. I didn’t get any rudder pins, so I
avoided any boats that you had called out in your earlier emails as being
defective.
We did have a couple of other issues.
Boat 10 has a broken gooseneck. It was still used as Luke from UT sailing
thought that it would be OK as the outhaul holds the boom against the mast, but
it does need fixing properly.
Boat #11 I believe had the main sheet block come unattached (Johannes
Brinkmann was sailing it). The bits are still in the boat, but it either needs a
new U clip or the existing on being re-bent back into shape.
Other than that, it all went off smoothly.

thanks for covering this event with such an awesome staff.
Hopefully boats 1,2,3 were able to launch ( we had reported tree limbs in the
water blocking launch), and plenty of rudder pins were available to make up for
the lack of rudder tabs on a couple of boats (Kate said she had plenty of pins,
I hope you got them). If there is anything we can call out, to dramatically
improve next week's experience please let us know. If there are minor items to
call out ( like mold, no sponges or bailers, weak elastic holding up the hiking
straps), let us know too but we might already know of these items. The main goal
is to improve the client experience week over week if possible.
