Weekly Roadrunner Update 11/16

Hey Roadrunners! 

We had a great practice on Saturday! Thank you to everyone who came out to our last official practice of the season. It was windy enough to keep our beginners on shore working on their knots but the Green Fleet made it out. We had a great chalk talk, followed by a warm up drill in the cove, and two windward leeward races. A job well done by everyone! All our sailors have improved so much this season and I couldn't be more proud. 

This coming Saturday 11/19, is our last day of the 2011 Roadrunner season. We will NOT be having Beginner's, Green Fleet, or Laser practice. Instead, we will be departing on a Roadrunner Cruise for all our junior sailors! We will meet at 1:30 down at the Pavilion and set sail for a surprise destination where we will enjoy a Thundercloud Subs picnic lunch together. We will have Optis, Picos and Sunfish available for the sail. We will also be taking both skiffs and a chase boat so all parent volunteers are appreciated. Please RSVP for the Cruise by FRIDAY at 5pm. Please include the following:

Your RSVP reserves a boat and lunch. It is extremely important that you contact me via email if you plan on attending as space on the boats is limited and we will need to call ahead with our lunch order. Remember to check the weather and dress appropriately! Should be a great time and I look forward to seeing you all there.
