Weekly Update

Hi Everyone,

Sorry about the lack of emails from my end. Looks like we need to
decide what we're going to do for the next social ASAP as advertising
should be going out about now.

Going off your emails this is what I propose:
* We modify Natalija's poster and make this a PowerShift launch
* We don't use Melbourne's poster because we won't to have a theme or
DJ's or anything
* We don't charge people a cover fee, Natalija tells people we'll be
taking donations for PowerShift but we don't push it on people and
make sure they know it's completely voluntary (we don't want people to
be uncomfortable).
* We hand out the volunteer form afterwards but again stress there's
no obligation. We also hand around a mailing list form.
* We do everything else as planned

I don't think we have time to modify the event at this late stage. If
you don't agree with any of the above please say so. I'm mostly going
off what I think you want anyway.

If we're all cool with that then we can move onto...

Tasks!

Someone
- acquire a donations tin

Natalija
- if necessary, modify the presentation to focus on PowerShift and fit
the night
- modify your poster to say "PowerShift Launch" or something and send
it out to us and your networks

Nathan
- confirm we have a projector and room (what room btw?)
- send out facebook invites and email invites once Natalija has sent
out her poster
- print out Jenny's info posters to give people on the night
- print out volunteer sign up forms and a mailing list form
- if necessary, prepare for your plug in the presentation

Hey there,
 
I'm out of town until Sunday evening, so I won't be able to do anything until then. However, I think all the below makes sense! I will modify the poster tommorrow evening and mail it out, and I might get around to fixing the presentation to suit. All good? Invited all your mates to the Facebook event yet?

Hi everyone,

Our next awesome social event is THIS Thursday!

The room is booked, the projector is booked, the flyer and facebook
invites have been sent out.

Natthan, have you been able to print out..?
1. General AYCC info flyers
2. Mailing list form
3. Volunteer forms

Natalija, will you be ready to present on Thursday night? Do you need
a hand polishing off the presentation? Are you able to bring the
presentation on a USB drive and a laptop to hook up to the projector?
If not let us know and one of us will bring a laptop. Whoever ends up
bringing a laptop should probably arrive at least 15 minutes earlier
to make sure the projector works (these things are always tricky).

Apart from that we just need everyone to promote the event more.
Please invite all your facebook friends to the event, distribute the
flyer to your networks and ask other people to do the same, contact
individuals to see if they're coming. The key to a successful event is
lots of people so lets get promoting!
