Lili,

....I'm excited to be presenting a monthly screening series of artist's moving image works at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, CA. We're kicking off with a full day preview event at the Armory as a part of the Make Music festival on June 16th, followed by our first regularly programmed event on June 22, 2012. For the July screening and on into the future, I've got an open call for entries which I thought you might want to pass along to the community of women artists you've cultivated. Some basic information is attached below. I'm eager to bring new audiences to the work of underrepresented artists, and upcoming screenings will focus on language, ecology, the mechanics of dreaming and relationships with food.

MIA @ the Armory - open call for entries

MIA is a brand new series screening the work of artists using the moving image, including experimental film, video art, installation art, performance art, essay films and animation.  The MIA screening series is curated by artist Alanna Simone, presenting new work every 4th Friday at the Armory Center for the Arts in Pasadena, CA.

Submissions are accepted on a revolving basis and there is no entry fee.
