All -- Often when using gmail ChromeVox speaks an alert message something like: "click here to enable desktop alerts in gmail." When I check notifications to respond to this alert I find nothing there, so there must be an alerts area I don't know how to access.

If anyone knows how to do this, please respond. I assume there is an alerts area, not just in gmail, where notices appear and may allow a response but can't find documentation as to how to access and respond to these alerts.

Hi James,

There's several type of possible Chromebook alerts.

The one you saw in Gmail is an alert within the page itself and so won't
appear within the notification center.

One potentially useful way to handle this for ChromeVox is to add a menu
for all alerts similar to the links menu (list) via Search+Ctrl+l. I'll
go ahead and file that as a feature request.

Great idea. Can you provide a link to that request so that it can be tracked?

Thanks.

Good thought.  If possible, I would also like to track this.
