I hope this is the right place for this question. If not I apologize in advance. Downloaded Google Chrome for Windows 7 and installed the ChromeVox extension. I can get sticky keys to work by pressing insert twice, but can not get CV keys, allegedly alt/control to work. What am I not doing? Thanks.

CTRL+alt are some rather unfortunate keys. FOr one thing, in cmbination with arrows, on intel graphics cards they're used to flip the orientation of the screen. I don't remember how you turn it off. The second problem is this is the combination commonly used for windows shortcuts (EG CTRL+alt+N is the default key to launch nvda, same with ww for window-eyes, and s for system access). I'm guessing you ran into a few of these conflicts.

Have you tried going into the ChromeVox options and changing your
ChromeVox key to something else? I use ChromeVox on Linux and Windows,
and I change this key sequence to alt+shift. This also has some issues,
and in those cases I use the prefix key, which is control+z by default
and would be another option for you.

How do you get to chromevox options these days? Read in the beginning it was
CV keys O W but that doesn't work then I heard it was something else but
can't find it in docs or list archives. Good idea about changing the keys
though, just need to know how to get there to do it.

I always get to it through the extensions page. I'm sure you can use the
menus to get there, but I type chrome://extensions into the URL bar and
then click on the options link for ChromeVox.
