The site http://axr.vg seems to be down. Any information when it will
be back online?

Hey, thanks for the heads up, we're switching between servers, so a bit of downtime is expected.

We're really sorry for the inconveniences. We're having troubles with Rackspace and accounts and stuff, so this could take hours, days or even weeks.... we don't know! :(

I'll let you guys know as soon that we are online again.

We're glad to announce that our site is back up! After struggling with Rackspace for a while, they freed the DNS Zone from the old (blocked) account and is now fully operative from our new vps instance, as always at http://axr.vg. In case you haven't visited for a while, check out our blog, wiki and documentation :)

Sorry for any troubles or inconveniences!

Are all the zones up (mx, files, etc)? I can't check I'm on my shitty
nokia. Now we should consider moving statics to s3.

Yay for rackspace

Only the A records were pointing to an IP address. The MX is pointing to Google Apps anyway, no change there.

Btw, why do we have a record for "api.axr.vg"?

On this VPS we have 10 GB storage, and it is billed by the hour. Going to s3 would cost us more money, right?

Cheers

The basic server cost is about 10$ per month. The s3 is paid by me and
can help offload some trafic from the server. I remember Ragnis
requesting this one. Did you tweet about rackspace? We should thank
them.

Tweeted, but not thanked. Please do so :) I'll talk to Ragnis about the statics, then.

Cheers.

Veosotano wanted api.axr.vg

Veosotano wanted api.axr.vg

:O Had completely forgotten about that. You're absolutely right.

Conclusion: will be used in the future for the HSS objects documentation.

We will move the static stuff with next release

Is there a task? I guess we can also upload the builds and the irclogs
at the end of the day.

You want IRC logs on S3, too?

We can upload at the end of the day, i guess. Lets just keep stuff in
one place. We offload traffic and get some redundancy.

We also need to have a list of log files somewhere. Does S3 support
"directory listing"? And the same for prototype releases.

Well, we can use the api for that but i think it's not worth the effort for the irc files. The builds really should get moved, because they will get bigger and bigger, we can use this page http://www.axr.vg/downloads/ as listing.

Okay, you can put the files at `static.axr.vg/prototype/`. Don't change
the file names and directory structure.
I'll do the necessary code changes and by the end of the week we'll move
both the downloads and static resources to S3.

Can you package the proto files and send them? I do not have access to the new server.

No, not by the end of the week. I thought it was Tuesday today.
