Just show something `touchable`... at least!

Why are there no specific examples of templates done in XML&HSS? I mean, you want to attract the webdesigners to help the movement, so why don't you simply give them examples of websites made in both html&css and XML&HSS? I mean, just talking won't solve anything. Show them something already done, so they can see this thing in action. Show them an entire site done in HTML&CSS  and the same thing done in XML&HSS and show them how easy to make and easy to read is your version against the `old standard` you want to improve! And make sure it's easy to find that on the axrproject.org website (maybe a new section)!
You could even make a gallery, where everyone could upload projects in xml&hss (the html&css files could be included in the archive) and other people could download them. The only fields required are Name, Screenshot, Description, Files.

If this is not the right place to post this, than move it. I ain't gonna spend any more time around this project untill I will see some finished products made using this so-called `standard`...

Hi there.

What you're describing is something we have thought of doing many times, but have never come around to do it, mostly because we're not there yet. Keep in mind that this is still a project in its early stages of implementation, the prototype browser doesn't even have scrolling or integration with JS (or similar) at this point.

On the other hand, nothing is set in stone. We have identified many flaws and problems with the `old standard`, but that doesn't mean our proposals for an alternative are perfect. I'm sure there are still many gaps to be filled or improved. So if you want to see the `new standard` advance to a state in which we can easily compare one thing against the other, please help us out (finding bugs in the prototype browser, writing tests, writing tutorials, writing sections of the specification, improving the website, adding more info to the wiki, implementing your idea for user-submiteable example gallery, etc etc etc, so much stuff still to be done), instead of just bitching around :P

Cheers,
Miro

I would do that, if the browser would work for me... but it looks like it won't do that...

Oh, and let me tell you something: if you wanted people to support you in making this project a web standard, you should have started with two OpenSource extensions to render hss, one for Chrome and one for Firefox. If you would have that ready, even if not completly functional, the things will be much easier for you and your project, belive me!
