I have made a new subpatch "analogclassic". When i make a polyphonic patch with this subpatch, i only have half the voices of what i tell it to have. How is this possible? when i compile it, it increases the cpu load with every voice i add. 1 = 14%, 2 = 25%, 3 = 35%, 4 = 46%, 5 = 57% and 6 = 68%.
Is my subpatch too big or what? I have included the files so have a look at it. There are some connections not working, but i want too get this issue solved before i complete the patch.

Could you test it with the on-screen keyboard in the Axoloti editor (shift-click to hold a note), to eliminate issues with DIN midi?
It sounds fine here, and gives the full voice count.

So around 4% + 11%/voice, with 4 oscillators and 2 filters in a voice. This is as I'd expect.

no
though the parent object gets very tall... Custom object layouts will come one day.

Which connections are not working?

Thanks Johannes,

The connections that are not working yet as i want them to are the feedback note value to equalise the freqeuncy difference when playing in different octaves. I am busy with it but it is not yet working well.
I will look into it what the problem can be. I did not know that the on screen keyboard could produce polyphonic notes. Maybe it is an midi error, because i use a ctrlr panel to control the patch and my keyboard is feed through the ctrlr panel. I let you know.

Pim.

You were right. With the on screen keyboard it works fine, but now i found out another problem: The note priority is last note played. If all voices are being played and a extra note is pressed then the note value changes to the last pressed key, but it is not gated. So any expressions from env gen. are not activated.

If I recall correctly the "gate2" outlet fixed that. I guess this should be the only gate output in polyphonic context.
The "gate" outlet is perhaps useful for legato (non-retriggered) in a monophonic context?

Hi Johannes,

On windows 8.1 64bit Axoloti V0.3:
By trying the keyboard with the shift-click a note and leaving the axoloti for a while I stumbled on another strange happening:
after starting the axoloti and the keyboard shift-click note test I left my computer and Axoloti on.
after a small pause, needed to check my kids ;-) , came back at my computer who was in "sleep" modus.
When I started the laptop back up Axoloti lost his com-port communication.
A restart of Axoloti was needed. Not able to reconnect the port with the inbuild tool.

Greetz,
Xiao Shi Zi.

I added an issue on github to keep track this problem. It has alway been like this, and I think affects all operating systems.
https://github.com/JohannesTaelman/axoloti/issues/36
It is not related to the original topic of this thread though.
