BMW uses AWX
An issue with AWX is that upgrades are not supported. The AWX community uses / refers to the Fedora model for explaining this approach. This is false equivalence of course. You can't compare an OS with a web application when it comes to data migration. Fedora is real world usable without a data migration approach. AWX is not.
BMW created the upgrade scripts so they can keep AWX up-to-date. So to make AWX real world usable you have to do that yourself.
This is I think a downside to the Red Hat open source approach. The open source distributions are not intended for real world use. There is a strong push to use the commercial distributions. This is the main difference with the Canonical approach to open source. In my opinion.
