Dear Amazon Web Services customer,
We are excited to announce the introduction of a new feature for AWS Trusted Advisor, which allows customers to stay up-to-date with their AWS usage via weekly notifications. Trusted Advisor inspects your AWS environment and makes recommendations to optimize cost, improve system performance and reliability, or help close security gaps. Up to three recipients can start receiving weekly status updates and savings estimations in either English or Japanese. You can choose to receive notifications via notification settings located in the top right corner of the Trusted Advisor dashboard (FAQ).
We have also updated the user interface and introduced a new automated check for overutilized Standard Amazon EBS Volumes. The dashboard now contains additional information with a cleaner, simplified interface. The new Overutilized Standard Amazon EBS Volumes check (in the performance category) monitors for standard Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) volumes that are potentially overutilized and might benefit from a more efficient configuration, such as using Provisioned IOPS volumes.
Set up the AWS Trusted Advisor notifications today in your Trusted Advisor dashboard.
For more information, we invite you to read the announcement, learn more at the AWS Blog, and watch Andy Jassy speak about AWS Trusted Advisor in the re:Invent 2013 Keynote.
Best regards,
The AWS Support Team
