Role:Senior SQL Server / PowerBI Developer
Location: Wilmington,DE
Duration:12-24 month position with possibility of extension.
Must have 12+ years experience
Required skills :
High-level Position/Job Description:
o Create, maintain, and tune quality SQL Server reporting deliverables using PowerBI and SSRS
o Create, maintain, and tune complex T-SQL Server based custom reports and stored procedures
o Create, maintain, and tune interfaces with SSIS based interfaces and stored procedures
o Accurately develop MS SQL Server T-SQL database queries, reports, data loads/extracts in a logical manner from scratch.
Specific responsibilities may include:
· Create and maintain quality reporting deliverables using Microsoft PowerBI
· Create and maintain quality reporting deliverables using Microsoft SSRS
· Create new and maintain/tune existing T-SQL queries and procedures
· Create and maintain existing T-SQL based custom reports
· Create and maintain interfaces leveraging Microsoft SSIS
· Analyze existing T-SQL queries for performance improvements
· Review and interpret ongoing business report and interface requirements
· Create and maintain stored procedures
· Analyze existing data structures and queries and develop/update reports, queries, data loads, and interfaces.
· Accurately develop T-SQL database queries, reports, data loads/extracts in a logical manner from scratch.
Minimum Background, Skills, and Competencies:
· 7 years of experience as a MS Server T-SQL Developer or similar role
· Strong experience with MS Server Power BI, SSRS, and SSIS
· BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
· A strong MS Server T-SQL developer who can quickly come up to speed on an existing and complex SQL Server database underlying a leading income tax processing COTS product
· Extensive experience in all aspects of T-SQL programming.
· 5-7 years of experience with SQL Server PowerBI
§ 3-5 years of experience with creating/maintaining interfaces using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) ETL Tool or another ETL product
· Extensive experience working with large sets of data and resolving data-oriented issues.
· Extensive experience in tuning queries for optimal performance
· Able to work independently with minimal direction
· Ability to work directly with business users to translate business requests/requirements into appropriate designs
· Possesses excellent communication skills
· Ability to investigate and identify query performance related issues
· Possess Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Team player
· Good time-management skills
· Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on team’s success
