Gentlemen,
Can we have the rules framed, approved and applied for now to get the institution functioning as per Army Ethos with proviso for future course plotting/correction? I think we all understand the situations can develop in ways more weird than we can imagine. The american constitution will be dwarfed by our's, but seems to be working much better. Very detailed rules need not be the best rules.

Rajat,
Thats again a complicated loop!
So what happens if the child of an offr (residing in AWHO and not in forces)who is married and having kids unfortunately passes away?
Logically the grand child of an offr should also be given the membership?
Rules need to be deliberated and then formed such that we justify to benefit all in society.

Membership to children of Army pers Subject to residing in the colony should not be denied.
Lots of emotion and sentiments!!!
Two sides of the coin -
What happens if the flat is sold to a civilian or is inherited by a civilian - son or daughter and s/he becomes the rightful owner of the flat through the process of law?
Don't they as an owner have the right over the facilities as provided by the org AWHO? Can you stop them from being members of the institute which has no legal standing of being an Army (only)institute? Yes CSD and Med you can stop because that's provided by the Mil Est but this org
AWHO does not stand for
that.
May be one can give it a cool thought before we start using all adjectives for either side and condemn any?

In the long term interest of fauji owners of the ARMY WELFARE HOUSING, civilians MUST not be given membership of the club faciity . They are not bastards, thieves, uncouth but majority of them are uncivilised. It is difficult for majority of them to follow decorum of an institute. They KNOW HOW TO UNITE and drag you to lengthy process of courts for trivial persnol gains . We fauji have always remain divided due to various inherited factors of the service and culture and WE DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PROTECT OUR INTERESTS except fighting among ourselves. Why invite trouble when it can be kept at bay ? Once inside they will throw you out of steering wheel and take control of the facility created for us out of our money. Don't even think of giving them membership at higher rates. I think society has
enough welfare fund.A CLOSE
KNITTED COMMUNITY THRIVES AND SURVIVES LONG !!!!!!!!!!

Dear Friends
It is ironical that many of us are getting carried away with civilian bashing.
I don't understand why civilians staying on rent should not be allowed to use the club premises.
A large majority of officers are not staying in the complex and have given their du's on rent, mostly to civilians.
Why would a
civilain stay in a society if he--
1. If he is made to feel like an inferior being and shunned as the scum of the earth.
2. Not be allowed in the club reserved only for the elitist faujis
( a
reminiscent of the
apartheid where Gandhiji was chucked out of the first class compartment)
3. Made to feel like a B grade citizen in today's world of emancipation.
If, most of the houses are on rent and the people in rented units not allowed to use the club then has anybody imagined who would be using the club?
Please do not get carried away by petty prejudices.
Also please give up this elitist attitude, and stop looking down upon others not in uniform.
Civilians are not bastards, thieves, uncouth and uncivilised as most of you have ingrained in your mind.
In fact a few civilains in the club ill break the monotony of "when I was posted to/when i was commanding......' conversation, which is the cornerstone of the so called enlightning conversation carried out in fauji clubs.
