Why only 'dharm' is chosen as a medium for Yug Nirman Yojana?

भारत धर्मपरायण देश कहा जाता है पर पिछले दिनों धर्म शब्द की जितनी बदनामी हुई है - शायद ही किसी अन्य की हुई हो । फिर भी युगनिर्माण योजना ने अपने मूल आधारों में धर्म भावना को मान्यता क्यों दी है ? यह प्रश्न कार्यकर्त्ताओं के सामने बहुधा आ जाता है । यह ठीक है कि धर्म के कथित ठेकेदारों ने धर्म के नाम पर गर्हित मान्यताएँ चलाकर देश की और धर्म की बड़ी भारी हानि की है । किन्तु ध्यान देने योग्य बात यह है कि उस हानि की पूर्ति भी सामान्य ढंग से संभव नहीं । किसी मार्ग में कोई मस्त या जंगली हाथी कोई बड़ी चट्टान गिरा दे तो उसे हटाने के लिए प्रशिक्षित हाथी ही काम दे सकता है । क्रेन द्वारा छोड़ी गई भारी वस्तु क्रेन द्वारा ही हटायी जा सकती है । इन्जन गलत लाईन पर डिब्बों को ठेले तो फिर शंटिंग द्वारा इन्जन ही उसे हटाता है । धर्म की शक्ति असामान्य है । आज की गयी-गुजरी स्थिति में भी धर्म के नाम पर जो भावनात्मक तथा साधनात्मक जन-समर्थन प्राप्त है वह अपना सानी नहीं रखता । और सच पूछा जाये तो बदनाम धर्म नहीं धर्मजीवी हुआ है । धर्म के नाम पर जो अनर्गल बातें थोपने का प्रयास किया, बदनामी उसकी ही कही जायेगी । धर्म की बदनामी वह तब तक ही लगती है जब तक धर्म खुले रूप से सबके सामने नहीं लाया गया । उसे सही रूप में सामने लाते ही पाँसा पलट जाता है। बदनामी का पात्र तो वह है जिसने धर्म जैसी कल्याणकारी विभूति को छिपाकर उसके स्थान पर अकल्याणकारी गतिविधियाँ चलाने का प्रयास किया। जो निर्दोष है - उसे निर्दोष साबित करना एक नैतिक कर्तव्य है। बल्कि उपयोगी तत्व के प्रति भ्रांति का निवारण एक महान समाज सेवा भी है, क्योंकि उसे वह कल्याणकारी तत्त्व पुन: जनकल्याण के लिए प्रयुक्त किया जाने लगेगा और अगणित व्यक्ति उससे लाभान्वित होंगे ।   -पं. श्रीराम शर्मा आचार्य युग निर्माण योजना - दर्शन, स्वरूप व कार्यक्रम-६६ (३.६८)		India is regarded as a fervently religious country. However, in the recent past, nothing else has perhaps lost as much honor or respect as the religion has. Despite of that, why devotion to religion has been chosen by Yug Nirman Yojana as one of its main bases or tools? This question might have every so often crossed workers’ mind. It is true that the so-called leaders and authorize of religion caused serious harm to religion and nation by carrying out some disgraceful practices under the guise of religion. However, this damage cannot be undone simply through other conventional means. If a wild elephant happen to knock a large rock down on to a road, one may have to make use of a trained elephant to move it away and clear the road. A heavy load dropped in a wrong place by a crane may only be shifted with help of the crane. A train taken to a wrong track by a railway engine can be shunted back to the right track by means of the railway engine itself. The power of religion is enormous. Even though, religion is in tatters at the moment, its appeal among the masses is incomparable and is attracting a huge following. As a matter of fact, it is the follower of the religion rather than the religion itself that has got disgraced. He is the one who has tried to thrust upon useless ideas.  Religion may apparently appear to have been disgraced so long as its true or pure character remains concealed. However, the game would change as soon as that pure character of religion is revealed to the masses. Disgraced are them who tried to carry out undesirable and unhelpful activities under the guise of religion which in reality is a divine medium that only does good to everyone. It is our moral responsibility to vindicate someone who has done nothing wrong. The removal of misconceptions among the masses about any good or helpful thing is actually a great service to humankind because this will enable that thing to be put to use again for the good of society and thus, countless people would get benefited by it.   -Pt.
