The Kind Act of Benevolence

Almost every virtuous individuals, wise and thoughtful people, have paid due attention to the fact that worship, devotional songs, rituals, pilgrimage, religious observances, religious discourses, etc. are all indeed essential tools for spiritual growth but their usefulness is purely limited to the person who actually performs them. The benefits they yield are truly useful, desirable and indispensable. Despite that these observances cannot be considered as benevolent acts beneficial to the masses. A truly unselfish, noble action of benevolence is one that helps to cultivate good thoughts, good feelings and goodwill among all and creates opportunities to improve the life of the backward and disadvantaged people in society. In ancient times, people with sublime qualities of a Brahmin caliber used to dedicate their entire life to doing such noble altruistic work helpful to the masses.
