Ok, so I've been doing a lot of thinking about this and I really want some input on this ASAP.
I understand that we already told Regina that she has the Tuesday show and Rachelle has the Good Friday show - this was because we felt like Rachelle was showing up a lot more. However, after much thought, if we go back all the way to when we first started practicing, Regina was there from the beginning of rehearsals whereas Rachelle didn't start going to rehearsals until a month or two ago. The only week Regina wasn't showing up was because of her high school's musical and now I'm getting the feeling that we've been a little too harsh in taking away the Good Friday show from her.
Technically, Rachelle is still the understudy. And after seeing Regina perform last night, I'm starting to feel as if we (or I) made the wrong choice and Regina should have the Good Friday show.
And also, I know the point of Rachelle being "more spiritually ready" has been brought up. But honestly, who are we to judge on that, right? Only God knows the heart, and if we were to judge on that, why not judge all cast members similarly? That's not our place.
(Sorry, now I'm just rambling)
My dilemma is that I already told them which shows they're getting, but for some reason I'm having a real strong feeling about this. I've been thinking about this all week and I feel bad for forgetting that Regina was there ever since we started practicing. And maybe it's because I know what it's like to try and balance Passion Play and SPSV Musical so I might be biased... but looking at it from her point of view, it may be unfair.
I don't know guys, what do you think? If we switch now, Rachelle still gets a show (Tuesday). It's not like she's losing a performance. But would switching make us lose credibility? I don't mind being the one to talk to the two of them... I really do feel a lot of guilt and regret for not thinking about this more at the time of the decision.
