Ok, so I've been doing a lot of thinking about this and I really want some input on this ASAP.

I understand that we already told Regina that she has the Tuesday show and Rachelle has the Good Friday show - this was because we felt like Rachelle was showing up a lot more. However, after much thought, if we go back all the way to when we first started practicing, Regina was there from the beginning of rehearsals whereas Rachelle didn't start going to rehearsals until a month or two ago. The only week Regina wasn't showing up was because of her high school's musical and now I'm getting the feeling that we've been a little too harsh in taking away the Good Friday show from her.
Technically, Rachelle is still the understudy. And after seeing Regina perform last night, I'm starting to feel as if we (or I) made the wrong choice and Regina should have the Good Friday show.
And also, I know the point of Rachelle being "more spiritually ready" has been brought up. But honestly, who are we to judge on that, right? Only God knows the heart, and if we were to judge on that, why not judge all cast members similarly? That's not our place.

(Sorry, now I'm just rambling)

My dilemma is that I already told them which shows they're getting, but for some reason I'm having a real strong feeling about this. I've been thinking about this all week and I feel bad for forgetting that Regina was there ever since we started practicing. And maybe it's because I know what it's like to try and balance Passion Play and SPSV Musical so I might be biased... but looking at it from her point of view, it may be unfair.

I don't know guys, what do you think? If we switch now, Rachelle still gets a show (Tuesday). It's not like she's losing a performance. But would switching make us lose credibility? I don't mind being the one to talk to the two of them... I really do feel a lot of guilt and regret for not thinking about this more at the time of the decision.

Based on what you've said, I think it would be okay to give Regina the Good Friday show. Where has Rachelle been? Is she ok?

Since you brought up the topic of being "spiritually ready," I have some good news that I forgot to mention: that new girl, Adrienne (sp? she has like, one line and appears in the crowd. Dunno her last name) wants to convert to the Catholic Church! I told her we could answer any questions she might have, so be ready. Also, her friends are looking out for her too, e.g. they had her cross her arms during communion at the Saturday Mass.

So, I have been thinking about what you said Lisa. Thinking back, Regina was there since the beginning and we can't judge on "being spiritual ready" as it is not our place to be doing that. I have been feeling like that but I tried in my heart to not let that get to me to feel sorry for Regina. I think our credibility wouldn't be lost and besides we are not perfect. Sometimes we make mistakes. As much as it is hard to talk with Regina about this, I would push for that idea. Let's make this a vote so having the majority go for it. We are all part of this production crew and we should all agree in everything. I say we should give Regina the Good Friday show.

i agree that we cannot judge on the spiritual readiness of a person. and i know we were talking about it earlier. i do not have strong feelings one way or the other as to who gets what show. but i think that if you feel that the switch should be made then you should do it. pray about it, but the decision needs to be made tonight. if you need help talking to either one of them, i can help on behalf of the production crew. i know it was your decision, but we are all in this together, we stood by every decision that has been made together so its not just on you to fix things.

I think that it's cool to have Regina for Good Friday. Rachelle was
her understudy. Also if it helps, which i think it doesn't, my mom
really likes Regina as Janelle. But yeah thats my two cents

if you do decide to make the change, i think you should talk to them one on one rather than both there at the same time.

@Angela - when I first told the two, I told Regina it was because Rachelle had a badminton game on Tuesday, and although she said she could make it, I didn't want her rushing. If I decide to switch, I'll ask Rachelle first to see if she can be there on time...

When I talked to both of them, it didn't seem like that big of a deal to either of them which show they did. I say talk to both and find out if Rachelle is ready to do the show on Tuesday and if Regina is even going to be available on Friday. I'm sure it will be an easy talk. They're both very understanding and easy to work with.

Well, it seemed like a big deal to Regina because a few days after I told her in person, she was texting me about it (I think I told some of you guys about this), asking if her and Rachelle could switch so she could get Friday.

Anyways, it looks like I'm going to call the two of them today after work. I'll let you know what happens.

Okay, so I talked to both Rachelle and Regina. Regina will be doing both Tuesday and Friday performances. Rachelle told me she wasn't ready to do Tuesday, so she said she'd let Regina have both.
