So I've just been asked by the people at the Museum of Brisbane to
perform at one of their After Dark events as part of the Prejudice and
Pride exhibition going on right now. WOO!
It's 2 and a half hours tho and I don't think I can do it all on my
own. However, they were interested in a cabaret of a few different
performers, if I was willing to organise something. so here I am :)
The event itself is for Friday 10th of September 2010 starting 5pm.
We've got till 7:30pm to fill up the slot with however we wish.
They're after performances - "fun stuff", says the organiser - that
reflect something about being queer in Brisbane (however literally you
want to take this concept).
I was thinking of 4-5 of us doing multiple performances over the night
- about 2 maybe 3 goes. I don't know what sort of stage we have but
expect no frills at this stage.
The fee would be $150 divided amongst all of us.
If you're interested, let me know (via m...@themerchgirl.net) and if you
can, come to the Prejudice and Pride Curators Tour on Friday 27th
August starting 11am. It's free and will give you a better idea of the
exhibition (if you haven't seen it already).
yay! :D
