The awe.sm-powered Facebook and Twitter share buttons can now be
loaded asynchronously. Loading the share buttons after the browser's
initial rendering of a page decreases the perceived load time of your
site and is now the recommended embedding method. Review the
documentation for updated examples of how to take advantage of this
feature <http://developers.awe.sm/guides/share-buttons/>.
On the API front, awe.sm now supports the Cross-Origin Resource
Sharing mechanism on the Create and Stats APIs. This emerging W3
specification allows XMLHttpRequests across domains. It has
significant advantages over JSON-P, such as POST method support and
error handling. More than 85% of internet users can take advantage of
CORS today <http://caniuse.com/#search=cors>, so try it out. For Flash
developers, we've added a crossdomain.xml policy file for similar
functionality.
Your feedback is responsible for these three improvements. I know you
work with many web services and I want awe.sm to be best one. Please
don't hesitate to let me know how awe.sm can be improved for you.
