The Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India has called for applications from interested and eligible candidates for the post of Informatin Commissioners, Central Information Commission. It is laudable that the DoPT has for the first time opened up the process of selection of Information Commissioners. I hope the proces will be transparent right up to the stage when the appointments are made. As the circular suggests the positions are open for serving bureaucrats as well. So there might be a flood of applications reaching the DoPT soon.
