Hello, Away group!

I am glad to show you the pie chart component that was built on top of
Away3D. Fabrice, thanks a lot for the Lathe class!

Looks great!

Fabrice's Lathe class really rules - and this is a great "real-world" example of what you can do with it.

Nice work!

Yeah he did it!!
Considering the fact that I've omited that you could do pies, this is double great!
So you've added the inner loop on arrays we've talked about to ensure welds or do you have made it with a series of pieces?
Makes me remember I need to change the minimum value per rotation... 0.1 is not good...

Looks good anyway so who cares!!  Well done!

Thanks a lot for the response, guys!

First, I've added the inner loop for the pie generation but then I
found that if it will be just one mesh I couldn't do interaction with
pieces(like tooltips), so I just build it with a series of pieces. Is
there any way to build interaction like tooltips with pie as one mesh?
As you've told me I also set the rotation to 0.01 and it seems to work
without space between pieces.

yes you can... if you have set the inner loop, what about pass
different movieclips as materials?

On other hand if the pie is allways shown as 100%, if you do not move
the pieces, for instance on rollover move the piece on the y axe or/
and move back a bit, you just need to
make one movieclip with the regions and give it as material. No pieces
would be required... I can even imagine, that when they are grouped
as 100% pie you show one lathe object, while on mouse over
swap for a multiple lathe object... so you could swap renderers
intersect/basic.

I'll update the Lathe default rotation value today...
