Just testing a model, about 8000 tri and get this error in GPU mode but not in software mode.
Loading model and applying a light to every material, nothing else.
Any ideas?

Error: Error #3692: All buffers need to be cleared every frame before drawing.

Some weird bug, not away.

Tried model in flare3D and it worked fine, noticed that examples html file was different to standard flash develop one. Swapped the standard fd one and flare3D also gave same error. Tried away examples I new worked and hadn't been changed still got the error.

Noticed if I changed the swf size from 100% to 800 pixels it worked. Weird. Tried restarting browser, fd, still error. Gave in rebooted. Now everything works no matter what size.

Carry on ;)

Not had that error for a while, until I just read your post this morning.
Wanted to play with normal map and remembered the multiViewTest example has one.

Can't get the example to work, throws the error every time. Ive run this example many times before.
The only way I could get it to work was to reduce the html swf width/height params.
Other files work fine.
Done a reboot, updated svn r3147
Still can't run that example.

Hmmm interesting... I just had this error as well in my own project.
Was going for lunch leaving the project running (in paused mode which
doesn't call the render method) and then when I came back and unpaused
it immediately threw this error. Just thought I'd post that here.

Oh I should mention that I'm not using the latest Away3D code (but
code from the beginning of April). And also not running the latest
flash Incubator player, but version 11.0.0.58d

Well... at the time John and Li posted the latest flash incubator was
11.0.0.58d
but now it's 11.0.1.3

11.0.1.3 causes problems and  not just in Away3D . Some stuff inside the Molehill  was changed probably.Alternativa got also bugs with this release  which they confirmed  had been caused by the latest update.

Well this error I usually get when I forget I have Maya open with a big scene while testing a swf.
As far as I can tell it means my GPU is crap. Or something like that.
Still get it with the latest 11.0.1.3

Well its either that or the 100% thang.
But if Mayas open then I get the error.

Still on AGP here.
Wish I had an 8000 ;)

I had 3DMax open and I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 230. Seems like a rare error as I haven't seen it before.

Well 230 is a very advanced card . But haven't adobe specified that the card should support the ShaderModel3 ? Which begins I guess from 8x series of Nvidia . or may be I confuse it with OpenGL 3x...
