Hi,
I modified the Max3DS loader to retain the original mesh transforms
when loading.
Unfortunately it breaks compatability with the original version, as it
no longer flips the x-axis of the models. Instead it applies a
transform to the meshes, which swaps the y and z axis. This means that
the model after loading is oriented the same way as in the modelling
package.

It does not take into account the pivot transform (I think only 3dsmax
saves this info), so it may be nescessary to reset x-form models
before exporting. It is an easy thing to add to the importer, so if it
would be helpful, I can do it very quickly.
