I'm about to begin development of a flash game using the Away engine.
Is the Flash 10 branch now production-ready and recommended for new
projects, or am I still better-off sticking with the trunk?

Many thanks

I've got the same question, is there a rough timing vor the flash 10
development? The launch of our project is in mai and we sold a flash
10 game to the client.
thanks a lot!

for flash 10 development, the current recommendation is to use the 3.0.0 branch, which contains a copy of the trunk framework with the conflicts in the matrix3d class addressed so that it compiles in cs4. with this you can build away3d projects in flash 10 with exactly the same functionality as flash 9. There are already some updates in the flash10 branch to implement a few flash10 features like corrected texture distortion, but this branch is a development branch and not ready for production work, so it is not recommended to use at this time except for testing. Ulitmately, the flash10 branch will stick closely to the framework of the 3.0.0 branch, so if flash10 features are required in your project, swapping over to a stable flash10 branch in future should not be too difficult
