Hello,
My name is Jeb Middlebrook aka Jus Rhyme, and I am a hip-hop poet, racial justice organizer, and filmmaker from Los Angeles who will be on tour this December 8-21, 2011 as part of The Segregated City Tour (
http://segregatedcity.com) - an arts/activism tour of the Top 10 Most Segregated Cities in the United States.
On the tour, I am making a free, online film that explores the issues that create and maintain segregation, and the economic justice and racial justice work being done in each city to vision and provide possibilities for everyday people. I am meeting with local residents, artists, and activists in each city, and gathering personal testimonies about living within and beyond segregation.
Please let me know if you, or people you work with or know, might be interested in sharing your thoughts on film. I will also be taking a tour of each city during the day, and would love for anyone interested to join me on the tour and provide insight as to what is happening on a local level with segregation and racial justice work.
