Parents and Leaders,

It is time to work with your kids and help them finish their AWANA books!   Cubbies are on track to finish their books with the regular plan. But Sparks (grades k-2) and TnT (grades 3-6), all work at their own pace.

We only have this week March 22, April 5, 12, and 19th to FINISH the books for this year. There is no club on March 29th due to a facility conflict at Emmaus. Awards night is April 26th.

So today would be a good day to look at your child's book and see what it will take to complete their book in 4 more handbook times.   If they need to say more than the 3 sections a week to complete their books, we allow that. We consider a book completed when they have done all the red/green jewels or all 8 of the 8 sections in the TnT book. Kids who finish all the jewels or sections and are in the book for their grade level, are asked to complete the book review, but that is not required to get a book award.

For those of you newer to AWANA, in grades K-2 threre are 3 books, one per grade level.   If they do not finish a book and are not moving on to 3rd grade, the child can keep the book and complete it at the beginning of the next year.   The same for TnT, one book per year from grades 3-6, if they do not complete a book in one year, they can start in the old book the following year. But if they do not complete a book this year, they will not earn an award on April 26th, unless they are a cubbie!

If you have questions or concerns, when you drop off or pick up your child go into the gym with them and talk with their leader, or the director. If you want more information, outside of club, here is the contact info for the Directors.
