இன்னாளை நாம் அனைவரும் ஒன்றாய் கொண்டாட விரும்பி அவ்வைத் தமிழ்சங்கம், தமிழர் நலக்
கழகம் (Tamizhar Welfare Association Mayur Vihar Phase III) மற்றும் VESS (Vasundhara Enclave Sarveswara Samaj) இணைந்து
பொங்கல் விழாவை வரும் 6-1-2013 ஞாயிறு
அன்று நடத்த விரும்புகிறது.

பொங்கலின் முன்னோட்டமும்.

Pongal is celebrated as thanks giving festival. We give thanks to Sun god and the five elements of earth ( Eater, Fire, Land, Air & Sky). If you Notice the way pongal is made those days. It is made of Earthen Pot ( representing Land), Made in Open ( Sky), With Wooden Fire, ( Fire) and the steam coming out of it ( Air) and the ingredients Water/Milk ( Water) with new rice and at the and to make life sweet Jaggery is added.
It signifies the need to respect nature and preserve it. Now we do the same under the name of Global Warming.....
Let us celebrate the science , the thanks giving day to nature , the Pongal on 6th January 2013. It will be half a day of fun under bright sun ( 10 AM to 2 PM) beautiful weather, beautiful people, Fun and activities, good networking and begin the new year with making more friends....
We thank you for the support you all extended during the Drama Festival in August by giving advance notice about plans. We hope hear the similar response this time as well. Help us to plan better. By beginning the New year with sweet Pongal , we are sure that the coming year will be beautiful and keep you hale and healthy.

So, Let us tell the world the way our ancestors taught us to respect and greet the nature.
