As ongoing initiatives to provide programs to the homeless and/or at risk of homeless population, various weekend programs have expanded at KUU-US. It has been word of mouth initially as a pilot project with our client base and now as we are in full swing. Please let your clients know.
All of the dates and times are included in the poster up until the end of march 2018. Feel free to make copies and hand out the information. Should you have any general inquiries please call
2507234050 to speak with a phone support worker, if available you may also be transferred to the homeless team of Kristina, Charlene, Irene or Darlene.
As you will see Fridays there are rotating activities from elder cultural/social nights, teen/youth lifeskill development gatherings, a recovery group with a traditional and cultural format to a peer support group around homeless and homefullness issues. Refreshments and food hampers are provided.
Saturday evenings we hold lifeskill workshops along with basic and urgent need items and a hotmeal with a food hamper
Sunday evenings outreach provides food hampers and hygiene products on the streets at 3 specific locations.
Donations of hygiene products and canned food items are always greatly appreciated. We provide free clothing and household items also during the week from 10-2pm.
Thank you.
