-Capitol Theatre: April: Diary of Anne Frank Play
-VAST SJ12 went to HMCS Alberni Museum in Comox to see Anne Frank Exhibit
-VAST SJ12 class went to Residential School Memorial on Tseshaht Reserve with artist Connie Watts
-ADSS Leadership: Red Cross RespectED program to local elementary schools
- Literacy Alberni & local Church: 2 Immigrant families
-United Church- Blanket Exercise-Decolonization Activity (Upcoming)
-ADTU- QMunity LGBTQ Training last Pro Day
-Summer: Pride BBQ & Participation in Canada Day Parade
Opportunities:
Cultural Competency Training 1 Day Workshop: VAST, ADSS & NIC - Fully funded. (This spring)- Have followed up with facilitator.
Engagement w/ Reconciliation Canada Community Dialogue (TBD)- Waiting to hear.
Torn Rainbow Play: Free Non-Royalty License for Script & discussion guide (Any time, with drama teacher interest). - Have followed up with ADSS Drama.
Question: Port Alberni's "Critical Incident Response Protocol" was created some time ago with Embrace BC. Have e-mailed them to get a copy of it; no one seems to know anything about its contents. Any recollection of this?
