Department of oils, Oleochemicals and surfactants and Oil Technologist Association of India are jointly organizing a workshop on " Latest trends in instrumental analysis in the field of Oils, Oleo-chemicals, surfactants and allied products ”" during Oct- 24-26,2013 at Institute of chemical Technology, Mumbai.
The need of the sophisticated analytical instruments and determinations using them is almost a routine process for the modern chemical laboratories. Instrumental methods of chemical analysis have become a principal means of obtaining information in diverse areas of science and technology. Professional in all science base important decisions, solve problems and advance their fields using instrumental measurements. As a consequence, all scientists have obligated to have fundamental understanding of instruments and their applications in order to confidently and accurately address their needs. We understand that everyone has busy work schedules and today’s hectic life style leaves you little or no time to refer voluminous books to learn any technique. However, for sustained growth learning has to be adopted as a lifelong habit. In an effort to make your learning task easy we embarked upon the workshop which comprises of lecturers from industry and academic experts.
The aim of the workshop is to furnish participants with the advance technical skills and knowledge base that is required in the field of instrumental analysis. This three day workshop will provide participants with a complete discussion on operation of GC, HPLC, NMR, IR, GC/MS, GC-ECD, DSC covering the basic principles and application in laboratory routine sample analysis. The participants will gain in-depth skill on instrument optimization, sample preparation and analysis, troubleshooting & maintenance and fundamental skills.
