Hi John,
Thanks for sending this latest version fo the AVIP Constitution.
Just read through it and it looks fine to me.
Paul.

Dear John, Dave, Mike and All
Thank you to Dave and Mike for doing the final tidying up on this.
As far as I am concerned this can go on the magazine. I have one minor question, which doesn’t affect its content as it may be my poor grammar, and I am just checking if we have a typo.
Should the semi-colon after “Treasurer” in 9.6 be a comma? Text: Any member failing to attend two consecutive Executive Committee Meetings, without good reason being notified to the Chair, Secretary or Treasurer; shall be deemed to have resigned.
I do not want a punctuation debate either.
With best regards
Lisa Jones
Writing from Stuart’s email address.
Well done, Stuart, for spotting this!
I’m sure John could just correct the punctuation without referring the matter to anyone.
Best wishes
Mike

Hi John,
Sorry to be a pain but, I seem to remember from the suggestions that dissolving the association no later than the following January 1st must be changed.
If the general meeting which approves this is held in say November or later this would not leave enough time for the committee to organise it.
I seem to remember that it should be completed no later than six months after the general meeting. This would be reasonable. It took quite a while to dissolve NTE when that happened.
Please check this.
Regards
Martyn

Hi All
John produced a draft on 4 March, which he sent to Dave and me, following a comment I made that was very similar to what Martyn is saying. The clause read:
*12.2.1 The retiring Executive Committee shall stay in office until the dissolution of The Association, which shall be no later than six months following the General Meeting at which The Association's dissolution was agreed.
John seems to have had second thoughts or got two versions of the draft confused, as the version of 16 March reverts to the original wording, i.e. by 1 January, rather than within six months.

Dear All
It was a simple change that was done in 2 minutes. Mike’s comment seemed to indicate the error was possibly something typographical. It is not going to make any difference to Martyn’s reading, but I think we should get it completely right as it does delay it going out on Interlink. I especially want to get rid of this in May, as much as anybody else.
John has both copies – the one circulated and the one with the corrected semi-colon to a comma.
