Greetings,
Yesterday, I was taken to my usual Wednesday Lunch Club for our Christmas
dinner and I can't remember how the subject came up.
Whilst travelling, the four of us had a discussion concerning the use and
abuse of debit and credit cards and I learned, if you are ever in a position
at an A T M under any threat, when entering your pin, if you put it in
backwards, all seems to be ok insofaras the thret is concerned, I do not
know for certain if money is removed from an account and if it is, how it
can be returned, but because you put it in backwards, the bank will be
alerted to there being a threat.
I wonder, have any of you experience of this, or is it one of these untruths
circulating?
Also, if it works in the UK, how about in other parts of the world?
Of course, the A T M when it receives the card will readily read the pin,
therefore it will be aware if input reversed.
